Magryn Partners with Engineering Australia
As part of our commitment to professional development, Magryn & Associates has entered into a formal program with the industry’s national forum for the advancement of the engineering profession, Engineers Australia, to provide pathways for our engineers to achieve Chartered Professional Engineer (C.P.Eng) status.
Chartered Professional Engineer status is the new benchmark in defining well-educated and suitably experienced engineers.
Recognising both academic qualifications and experience, C.P.Eng status is increasingly required by engineers before they may sign off on or certify designs and will gain in importance as a fundamental requirement in the years ahead.
Financially sponsored by Magryn & Associates, the program is guided by Engineers Australia and will benefit not only the individual engineers but provide Magryn & Associates with additional skills sets and enhance its standing as a reputable mid-sized practice.
School Work Experience
We support the vocational work experience efforts of local high schools by inviting a number of students each year to spend time at Magryn & Associates and discover more about the profession of engineering. While the work experience students are not paid for their time at the consultancy, it does help them in choosing their future careers and provides guidance in selecting the correct university courses.
Tertiary Degree Work Experience
We offer summer holiday placements to a number of university engineering students, to allow them to gain the experience they require to complete their degrees. All university students on tertiary work experience are paid a minimum wage.
We pay all staff
Our policy has always been that anyone working for us must be paid. Those undergraduates or graduate engineers on internships are part of our team and are paid employees.
Another Magryn & Associates foundation truism is that the business can only ever be as good as its staff. As such, we invest substantially in staff development to allow all employees to maximise their talents and reach their full potential, be they in the engineering discipline or across office administration.
