Engineer – Rohan Parkhill
Fresh from leaving the academic world of the University of Adelaide in 2013 armed with an honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Rohan Parkhill embarked on his professional career at local engineering firm P&G Structures, where he gained valuable practical experience in design and documentation.
In his year with the company, his role covered, among others, the structural design of residential and light commercial dwellings and buildings, as well as steel structures, timber structures and concrete and masonry structures.
Since moving to Magryn & Associates in 2014, Rohan has been involved in a broad spread of engineering projects, from preparing building reports for cracked houses and recommending remedial work and attending to footings design and inspection, to the structural and civil design for a new hospital helipad and a boat ramp facility.
Rohan also attends to structural certification of new buildings and the overall project management of various strata group repairs, where his liaison with clients and relevant project personnel has been invaluable.
Rohan now holds CPEng qualification with Engineers Australia and equivalent status as RPEQ (Queensland) and Registered Building Practitioner (Victoria).
